THE WAR - 1994

This is a little movie with a lot of heart. This is a family movie about a man trying to overcome a war that no one understood and he tried to make a difference in the world through and for his children.

Having to explain to his son why he would go away for months at a time, that he had to go to the hospital because of his nightmares of the war. Couldn't hold a job long enough to support his two kids, he never once gives into violence settles anything. He tried his best at all times not to give into the unfairness of being a Viet Nam veteran and there was no help for him or his family when he needed it most.

All Stu wants to do is build the ultimate tree fort. The kids in this movie are great. The things and tricks they play on one another and their arch rivals are just plain kids.

They never lost faith in the father or stopped loving him.  The ending is a sad one, but one that makes you stop and think about just what did my parents do to make a difference in the world and me.
